Capitalizing an Art Form
New York City, November 11-13, 2011
Theatre leaders and trustees were invited to think more broadly about their overall assets and the components of their capital structure. In addition to what appeared on their balance sheets, what were organizations' real assets, and how could they be leveraged in order to thrive, even in the midst of an uncertain and economically challenged world? Through sessions that explored human, financial and artistic capital, attendees learned new strategies for leveraging these assets in the midst of an uncertain and economically challenged world.
Discussion topics included: Defining, Redefining and Capitalizing Our Assets, Financial State of the Theatre Field, Community Engaged Theatre, Creative Funding Sources and Capitalizing Community Assets, among others. The Fall Forum brought together approximately 171 participants.
